Silestone by Cosentino - Silestone is the leading brand in Engineered Quartz around the world. Silestone is around 93% stone with the remainder made up of polyester resin and colour pigments. The appearance and feel is similar to that of natural stone, but the finished result is colour consistent across the entire slab with added benefits in terms of strength and hygiene due to the anti-bacterial content. Silestone is virtually non-porous and because of this potential stains remain on the surface and do not easily penetrate into the stone.
The Silestone range is the widest in the market with new colours and surface textures regularly being launched in 12mm, 20mm and 30mm thicknesses. As well as the full range of colours being available in a polished finish many are also available in Leather and Volcano (contact us for availability). Standard size slabs (approx 3040mm x 1380mm) allow a maximum cutting size of 3000mm x 1300mm. However some colours are available in a "Jumbo" slab which measures approximately 3250 x 1570mm offers considerable design flexibility.
